SAW Filter Enclosure for Meshtastic / MeshCore - SMA & u...
Give your Meshtastic / MeshCore node a proper RF front-end.
A SAW filter in front of your LoRa radio cuts out-of-band noise (LTE, GSM, pagers, etc.) and noticeably cleans up reception — more stable mesh, better range, fewer missed packets. The bare filter PCB is tiny and fragile though, so I designed these enclosures to give it a solid home with proper connectors.
I use these on my own 868 MHz Meshtastic / MeshCore gear. Print the housing for free — drop in a SAW filter and the matching connectors and you have a clean inline filter in minutes.
Versions (pick the one matching your setup):
| SMA ↔ SMA | 2× SMA PCB jack | Standard inline, screw it between antenna and radio |
| SMA ↔ u.FL | 1× SMA + 1× u.FL | SMA on the antenna side, u.FL pigtail straight to the board |
| u.FL ↔ u.FL (screw mount) | 2× u.FL, with mounting flange | Bolt it inside your enclosure, short u.FL pigtails both sides |
| Lid | — | Snap-on cover, closes any of the housings |
Where to get the filter (this is the part that matters):
This is a housing only. The actual SAW filter is what improves your signal — I sell tested 868 MHz SAW filters made for Meshtastic / MeshCore:

Print settings
— Material: PETG (recommended) or PLA
— Layer height: 0.16-0.20 mm
— Walls/perimeters: 3-4
— Infill: 20-30 %
— Supports: none needed
Assembly: Solder the connectors to your SAW filter PCB, drop it into the housing so the connectors sit in the cut-outs, press the lid on. Done. If the lid is too tight/loose, tweak your slicer's XY size compensation slightly.
A like / a printed photo in the comments is always appreciated. Happy meshing — 73!
