High-capacity clip-on Meshtastic Node / Meschore Compani...
This 3D printable MeshCore companion (or meshtastic node) case is made to be carried around clipped onto a belt/backpack. The clip is strong enough to withstand daily wear when printed out of something ductile, such as ABS or ASA (which is my recommended material for this project).
BOM:
2x M3 Square nut (Optional, for locking in the clip)
2x M3x5 Screw (Optional, for locking in the clip)
3x (though 2x is more than sufficient) M3x35 (or longer) Screw
1x M3x15 (or longer) Screw
2x 1.7x10mm Thermoplastic screw (or double sided tape, for holding the T114 inside the body)
Heltec T114
1S3P 18650 Li-Ion pack
1x IPEX1-SMA adapter cable
1x SMA Antenna (I chose a flexible 868Mhz antenna from Gizont, which seems to work for ~5km or so, and is actually tuned to 868MHz, rather than 915MHz)
Assembly should be self evident. Put battery inside the battery compartment (potentially with tape around the pack to hold it in more if the fit isn't as tight as you'd like it to be), put the antenna cord in, secure it, screw on the antenna, slide the clip into place, plug the antenna and battery into the T114, screw everything together, and done.
Just make sure to pull all the wires (battery and antenna) through the display socket first, then attach them to the devkit, then screw/tape the devkit in.
I highly recommend you add some silicone sealant wherever water could get in and potentially get a rubber USB-C plug to keep moisture out.
