Solar Node Gutter Mount
Hang a solar-powered MeshCore / Meshtastic node off your gutter. No climbing on the roof, no brackets to put up, no trip to bunnings.
Three printed parts:
Angled panel spacer. Tilts the solar panel up off the enclosure so it catches more sun through the day.
Gutter hook. Hooks over the lip of the gutter and takes the weight of the enclosure.
Bottom spacer. Packs out the gap on gutters that sit at an angle, so the enclosure sits flat against the fascia instead of hanging crooked.
Print settings
PETG. This part lives on a roof in full sun, so don't use PLA. It will sag and go brittle.
4 walls is a good middle ground, more if you want it, but I wouldn't go under.
Print the hook and the gutter spacer standing up. That puts the layer lines the right way round for the load they carry, and a hook printed flat will snap along a layer line the first time the wind gets under the panel. Run a brim on both, the footprint is small and you don't want either of them letting go mid-print.
Hardware
The screws that come with the enclosure hold the hook and the spacer. The bolt that comes with the solar panel holds the panel. That's it, other than epoxy, silicone or whatever adhesive sealant you already have on the shelf.
